The following sites were selected using one of the two following criteria:

• It offers access, through in-depth multi-level links, to further locations or information. These sites have a lot to offer and are selected for their content and organization.
• It is a very focused source of specific information that is useful to the environmental professional.

GENERAL SITES WITH OTHER LINKS

• Environmental Organization Web Directory
• Offers extensive and diverse information and links. Marketing, general support, financial services and job information for environmental professionals. Comprehensive general information concerning all aspects of environmental issues.
• Alphabetical List of Environmental Links
• From the University of Washington. Organized alphabetically, by catergory, and has a search function. Covers academia, data sources, jobs, government, and other environmental links. Extensive and nice organization.
• Envirobiz Home Page
• Arranged by category with news, jobs, regulations, equipment, marketing, and data sources being just a sampling of areas offered. Many sections offer search engines. An extremely useful site.
• Groundwater.com
• Links to State, Federal and International sites. EPA, DOE, Dept. of Commerce. In addition to groundwater and environmental links, the site has a strong focus on pollution prevention.
• Internet Resources for the Environmental Scientist
• Well organized with a lot of depth. Links to government agencies, technical resources, employment opportunities, air quality, international and more.
• Global Network of Environment & Technology (GNET)
• This site has been established by a foundation supported by the DOE. It has a highly developed format and uses lots of frames, so it can be a bit slow if you do not have a 28.8 (or better) modem. However, the site contains a great deal of information with a real focus on technology. News, markets, and projects are also covered.
• FedWorld Information Network Home Page
• The governments link to everything available on the Web within the Federal Government, all agencies are covered. Obviously a lot of depth. But, with time a vast amount of diverse information is available here.
• ENDS Environmental Links
• General information source with a British/European focus. News, jobs, and links to other European sites.

MARKETING INFORMATION

• Commerce Business Daily
• Commerce Business Daily announcements.
• GNET Contracting Opportunities
• Another source of contracting opportunities with a focus on the Federal Government/DOE.
• INFO-MINE - The Internet's Premier Mining Information Site
• An in-depth site for the mining industry. A daily news letter is posted. Provides World Wide information on mining companies, locations, projects, financials, and technical support.

REGULATORY LINKS

• US Federal and State Government WWW Sites
• A detailed listing of Federal and State government sites that are focused on environmental issues. This is a long list with many of the links to sites with a great deal of depth.
• Links To State Environmental Agency Sites
• This site is for States only, and is not near as extensive as the above. However, it is much shorter and easier to use if you are just looking for a State agency. If you don't find it use the above site.
• Superfund Home Page
• The home page of for EPA's superfund web site. Regulatory, compliance, guidance and site information. Technical reports and down-loadable software is also available.
• EPA - Rules and Regulations
• Access to the text of environmental rules published in the Federal Register. Links up and down to other pertinent issues.

• NSF Geosciences Unidata Integrated Earth Information Server (IEIS)
• Large list of links to sites that offer data bases and real time data gathering for environmental, earth, atmospheric, and oceanographic sciences.
• Water Quality Home Pages
• USDA water quality data from sites nationwide.
• USGS Real-Time Hydrologic Data
• Real-time gauging data from USGS stations nationwide.
• ICSU Guide to the World Data System
• Access to centers for real time data gathering for earth and environmental sciences on a world wide basis.
• BRS/Search -- Search Request Form
• Links to almost every scientific data base from institutions and organizations associated with the federal government. Covers much more than just environmental issues.

• Multidisciplinary search facility for science information, has great detail and depth.

• A search facility of USGS Water Resource Abstracts dating back to 1934.

• Links to European environmental and science sites.
• The World-Wide Web Virtual Library: Earth Sciences Resources
• Geoscience and environmental science links. Includes journals, software, and links to other sites world wide.
• U.S. EPA's Kerr Lab Home Page
• The Kerr lab is dedicated to research involving the remediation of soil and groundwater. This site includes access to their research reports, information on current research, downloadable modeling software, and links to other environmental, earth science, and related soft ware sites.
• EurekAlert! Table of Contents
• Links to sites focused on science and technology. Includes links to research institutions at universities, journals, and news releases.

• While this site has a focus on law, it also does a good job of providing links to lists concerning countries worldwide, in other subject areas besides just law.

• A list of lists that cover all aspects of China, The Peoples Republic as well as Taiwan.
• Council on East Asian Libraries
• An index page that has links for China, Japan, North and South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Each leads to in depth information about each country, with an initial category format.
• TN's Japan Related Web Links
• A lists of lists that covers news, government, technology, living in Japan and much more. A great source for information on Japan.

• This site is part of the WWW Virtual library.

• Welcome to Europa
• News, links to governments, and intisitutions. Links by country. A strong focus on the European Union.
• European Sites
• Sponsored by the Harvard Chemistry Department, this site has links to all the countries in Europe. Focus is on Academic sites, but other links and sources of information result. Links to other Regions of the World area also available on this Web Page.

Russian Links!

• This site will make you see red. Well put together, covering all aspects about Russia. News, politics, culture, and other links. Well maintained in an area that is "effervescent".

• MENA Business Page
• USA Department of Commerce, information on the Middle East. Commerce, trade, government, and institutional links.
• Another Middle East Countries Link Page
• An index by country of links. Each does a reasonable job covering multi aspects.

African Links on the Internet

• Listings of Web Sites by Country, as well as other general links.

• INTERNET RESOURCES FOR LATIN AMERICA
• This is put together by New Mexico State University. Lots of explanatory text, however, the number and variety of links to Latin America is at a level of depth and breadth that is not meet elsewhere.

• Trade, commerce, govenment, news, and many other links to relevant sites.
• Latin American Network Information Center
• Through the University of Texas. Features a menu driven by countries. Has links to other relavent lists.
• Directorio Global Net en Español
• In Spanish, however, there is a section on commercial issues that has parallel sections in English.

• Canadiana -- The Canadian Resource Page
• Links to news, facts/figures, the government, and other interesting sites.

• Information and support for the seeding of your Web Site.

• News letters, software, technical support; with a strong focus on the "Web"
• Web Pages That Suck -- The "Real" Home Page
• Based on the principle that the best lessons are gotten from real world examples. Useful, with some obvious bias by the author.
• PC Magazine Online
• News, commentary, reviews, and up-loadable software. This site is well organiazed and easy to use. It has the Corporate might of PC Magazine behind it. Always up to date, almost literally by the minute.
• Technical Support
• A simple site that offers links for technical support for computers, printers, other hardware, operating systems, and software. Prime support areas are problem resolution and upgrades/uploads for hardware supporting software.
• IBM Support home page
• This is not listed at the above Technical Support site. Typical of "Big Blue", this site is hard to find (my search involved driver upgrades for my ThinkPad). From here you can access software and other support for all IBM products (computers, printers, and other software).

REAL ESTATE LINKS

The focus here is on support information, rather than Real Estate listings.

• CCIM Library
• This site is sponsered by CIREI (Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute). It offers comprehensive information and links to all aspects of Commercial Real Estate. Legislation, market informantion, news letters, associations, other web sites, and software are only a portion of whats available at this site.
• CenterNet - Real Estate News
• This site offers information and links on Real Estate companies, retailers undergoing expansion, associations, news, journals, and other real estate service providers.
• Commercial Real Estate Reporter - Retail Real Estate News
• The focus here is news, so much of the information here is very current. The site is well categorized into differenct market segments and types of news (i.e. industrial, developers, retail, financial). Nicely laid out to boot.
• Environmental Data Resources
• EDR provides data base services in support of ESA's. Their site also includes information on the condition of the real estate market with regrards to environmental issues as well as contracting opportunities. Some technical and regulatory links as well as links to companies in environmental services industry and the banking industry.
• Index of Superfund NPL Sites
• This site is 6 levels down into the menu structure of the EPA Superfund Web Page. If you have an EPA ID # (as typically provided in any ESA data base dump) you can find a report listing specific site details. Also helpful for compliance audits.
• Internet Mortgage Magazine
• An Internet magazine of news, information and a comprehensive directory of real estate finance related topics.
